Life on the job hunt can feel pretty lonely. You're grinding away, often by yourself, and it's easy to get lost in your own head. To shake things up and help us all connect, we're kicking off a new series.
Our goal? To showcase opportunities for in-person connection. We’ll be highlighting events from all over the world, covering a range of topics and themes.
Now, here’s the thing: since we’re based in the DC area, it’s easy for us to miss cool events happening elsewhere. But that’s where you come in! Our community spans all 50 states and over two dozen countries.
So give us a hand, won't you? If you know about an event you think others in our community might be interested in, reach out and let us know!

“Come together to celebrate our U.S. international assistance community, stand in solidarity, and create hope for the future. This is a day to recognize our neighbors for their valuable service on behalf of the American people, and to acknowledge the local economic and social impacts of job losses.
Spend the afternoon on picnic blankets with friends and family, visit tables with community resources, hear from guest speakers, and enjoy a local DJ set!”

On the flip side, if you do end up attending any of these events, we'd love to hear about your experience! Let people know what you thought about it in the chat or bring it up during one our our upcoming member discussions.
We have a regular meet-up in Denver, Colorado for fired feds and IPs and contractors. It’s part support / grief group, part career search support, part advocacy group. We call ourselves the Tuesday Group and we meet at the Posner Center for international Development.
